Rain. Rain. Rain.
When it rains in Brazil, IT RAINS! For days. and days.
Today we visited Itaipu Dam, a hydroelectric dam on the Brazil and Paraguay border. It was really unique, I had never seen anything like it before. The guides were very informative about the plant, which was very helpful. It was super nice to have 2 guides that spoke English!
This trip has made me realize 100% that I am so lucky to be a native English speaker. It really is everywhere. Though it has taken some adjustment here to understand people, I have never been unable to communicate with someone. Nevertheless, it is still sad to me that I do not speak a second language.
One day I will.
